Open/Close Menu San Diego Medicare independent agent, also Small Business benefit, Long Term Care, Dental plan and Life Insurance

As you have probably noticed, the amount of Medicare marketing through many channels such as TV, mails, and social media has increased closer to the Medicare Annual Election Period (AEP). A lot of these ads promote many rich benefits such as transportation, dental, vision, even premium part B rebate to reduce your part B premium. They are so good that many of you have asked me about their validity.

Basically, these ads entice you to switch to a Medicare Advantage plan that may include some or most said benefits.  Most likely if you have a Medicare Advantage plan, you may have these benefits included in your plan already.

Remember that not all Medicare plans are accepted by your doctor so switching plan has to be done carefully to avoid problems of either not being able to see your doctor or having your drugs covered.

If you have any questions about a letter you see, you can call me or take a photo and send email it to my email at esther [at] sdinsured [dot] com.

My point is working with a local agent who understands the local healthcare situations and medical groups will bring higher satisfaction compared to working with an agent in a nationwide call center who probably lives outside CA. They may know the plan but don’t necessarily know the medical groups very well nor the local laws and plan benefits.
